Privacy Policy
MohawkProfile is an internal automation tool built by Mohawk Research to manage and publish content to a small number of LinkedIn accounts that Mohawk Research owns or is explicitly authorized to operate on behalf of. It is not a consumer product and is not offered to the public.
What data we access
Through LinkedIn's OAuth2 authorization, MohawkProfile requests only:
- openid, profile — your LinkedIn member identifier (URN) and display name, used to attribute actions to the correct account.
- w_member_social — permission to publish posts on your behalf, only when explicitly triggered.
We do not request or access your connections, messages, feed, or any other member's data.
How data is stored
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (Fernet/AES) before being written to our database. The encryption key is never stored alongside the data.
- Post content and publication status are stored to guarantee idempotent, auditable publishing (no accidental duplicate posts).
- An audit log records which action was requested, by which system component, and its outcome.
How data is used
Data is used exclusively to authenticate to the LinkedIn API and publish content that a Mohawk Research operator has explicitly requested. We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the authorized LinkedIn account.
Data retention and deletion
Tokens remain valid until revoked by the account owner (via LinkedIn's own settings or by request to us) or until they expire. To request deletion of stored data associated with your account, contact us using the details below.
